What a treat! SRK and Katrina Kaif will burn up the floor together for the first time, at Valentine celebrations in Oman

SRK and Katrina Kaif

Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif look all set to make Muscat a more romantic city this Valentine’s Day.

The Jab Tak Hai Jaan co-stars, who have never performed together at a full fledged live function, are scheduled to perform at a stage show in the Capital city of Oman.

Actors Preity Zinta and Ali Zafar, too, are expected to participate in the show, for which the organisers are also planning to invite a few singers.

Date of love

While details of the event are sketchy at the moment, it is learnt that the organisers are keen to lock either February 14 – Valentine’s Day – or February 15 as the date of the show.

Sources said the organisers have taken a fancy to the idea of holding the event on Valentine’s Day because they believe that SRK and Katrina have a “strong romantic recall”, owing to the fact that they were recently cast together in the late Yash Chopra’s love epic, Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

In case February 14 is a problem for the two busy stars, the second choice would be a day later. February 15 is a Friday, and a holiday in Oman.

SRK is known to be Bollywood’s top star in West Asia and over the years, his stage shows in almost every country in the region have been blockbusters.

Kat mania

Katrina, too, is immensely popular among West Asian Bollywood fans, so it was only a matter of time before the two actors came together to perform for their fans there.

Shortly after the Diwali 2012 release of Jab Tak Hai Jaan, SRK had expressed the desire to perform at his first-ever stage show with Katrina in Dubai. The event, though, fell through owing to the busy schedules of both the stars.

While SRK and Katrina were seen sharing the stage at a couple of awards functions last year, these were small guest acts that lasted for a few minutes. The Muscat show would be the first event where the two stars will share the stage for an exclusive performance.
