The critics might have dismissed Khiladi as a film stuffed with too much masala, but its box office performance is not as disappointing.
The film has collected Rs.10 crores nett at the Indian Box Office on the first day. It failed to break the opening day record of his last release Rowdy Rathore.
Khiladi 786, which was released in 2,785 screens on December 7, opened to a fantastic response at the single screens across the country on Friday.
The masala entertainer got an average of 90% occupancy. While the movie began with a poor amount of footfalls at the multiplexes, but its business grew rapidly in the evening and night shows on the opening day.
Akshay Kumar’s last release Rowdy Rathore had Rs.15.10 crores nett at the domestic Box Office on the first day and it has been the star’s buggest opening so far.
