Looking dapper in a black suit and shades, John Abraham was clicked shooting a high-voltage action scene for Abbas-Mustan’s upcoming film Race 2, along with a few Hollywood stuntmen at suburban Mumbai’s Filmistan Studio on Tuesday.

A huge set has been erected at the studio for John’s stunt sequence. Although members of the unit were tight-lipped about the scene, we learnt that the particular shot involves a highlight scene where John will be shown jumping off a highrise building.

Incidentally, the superhit Race, which released in 2008, had a pivotal shot that involved Saif Ali Khan being pushed off a highrise by Bipasha Basu and Akshaye Khanna. The unit was buzzing with excitement as the director duo of Abbas-Mustan went about calling the shots. John, who wowed his fans with his villainous role in Dhoom, will again be seen playing a negative role in the sequel.

Considerable anxiety was also palpable on the sets because John reportedly lost his cool while shooting for a fight sequence for the same film recently. Sources said John had to shoot the fight scene under artificial rain and the cold showers didn’t suit him. Despite the controversy over the earlier action scene, the latest shoot saw John in a good mood.

Race 2 has been riddled with controversies ever since it was announced. To begin with, there was some confusion over the casting. Producer Ramesh Taurani had reportedly signed Deepika Padukone, who walked out after a few days when a schedule was postponed.

She was replaced by Jacqueline Fernandez, who created a fresh storm when she made it clear she would not expose in the film.
